Supporting Transition-Age Youth With and At Risk for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders at the Secondary Level

A Need for Further Inquiry

Although the task of intervening with transition-age youth with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD) may be daunting, this area of inquiry is sorelyneed ed. In this introductory article, the authors discuss the scarcity of available research involving students with EBD at the secondary level and the importance of meeting these students' educational needs to promote success during and beyond high school and overview the focus of this special series on secondary school-age youth with or at risk for emotional and behavioral disorders.
